Frenship Memorial Names Head Boys Soccer Coach

Frenship ISD is proud to announce Michael Von Ende-Becker as the Head Boys Soccer Coach for Frenship Memorial High School. With seven years of experience in coaching and education, Coach Von Ende-Becker brings a strong background in player development, leadership, and program building to this exciting new role.

A Lubbock native, Coach Von Ende-Becker played four years of soccer at Lubbock High School before continuing his athletic and academic journey at McMurry University in Abilene. During his college career, he earned numerous accolades, including two All-ASC honors and the Warhawk Soccer Player of the Year award, while also earning his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He later went on to receive a Master of Science in Mathematics from Texas Tech University.

Coach Von Ende-Becker has spent the last seven years at Lubbock High School, where he served as the Head Boys Soccer Coach and most recently, took on the role of Head Girls Soccer Coach. Under his leadership, the boys team reached the playoffs for the first time in a decade, and the program nearly doubled in size due to his recruiting efforts and dedication to student-athlete growth.

Now stepping into a new chapter at Frenship Memorial, Coach Von Ende-Becker is eager to build a program from the ground up.

“I'm definitely most excited to build one of the strongest programs in the state, as well as help my student-athletes reach their personal goals,” said Von Ende-Becker.

In addition to his work in education, Coach Von Ende-Becker serves as the Pre-ECNL Director for Sting Lubbock, holds a USSF C-License, has a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, and is a 30 Under 30 Nominee.

His coaching philosophy centers around technical development, tactical growth, and creating a positive, team-first culture, qualities that will help shape the future of Frenship Memorial Soccer.

Frenship ISD is excited to welcome Coach Von Ende-Becker to the Panther Family and looks forward to watching him build a legacy of excellence at Frenship Memorial High School.
