About Mrs. Box

Hi! I’m Mrs. Box, and I’m so excited to be your Health Science Instructor this year! I’m a proud Lubbock native and Monterey High School graduate. After high school, I attended South Plains College and went on to graduate Salutatorian from Covenant School of Nursing in 2010.

I started my nursing career in the fast-paced Emergency Department at UMC, where I learned to think quickly and stay calm under pressure. I also worked in the Emergency Observation Unit at Sunrise Canyon Hospital and later became the school nurse at Oak Ridge Elementary for eight AMAZING years.

Now, I get to combine my love for healthcare with my love for teaching! In Medical Terminology and Health Science Theory, you’ll not only learn the language and science of healthcare—you’ll also hear real-life stories, get hands-on skills, and start preparing for your own journey in the medical field.

My goal is to help you see that healthcare isn’t just a job—it’s a way to make a real difference in people’s lives. I can’t wait to help you discover your potential!
