Hi! I’m Mrs. Box, and I’m so excited to be your Health Science Instructor this year! I’m a proud Lubbock native and Monterey High School graduate. After high school, I attended South Plains College and went on to graduate Salutatorian from Covenant School of Nursing in 2010.

I started my nursing career in the fast-paced Emergency Department at UMC, where I learned to think quickly and stay calm under pressure. I also worked in the Emergency Observation Unit at Sunrise Canyon Hospital and later became the school nurse at Oak Ridge Elementary for eight AMAZING years.

Now, I get to combine my love for healthcare with my love for teaching! In my class, you’ll not only learn the language and science of healthcare, you’ll also hear real-life stories, get hands-on skills, and start preparing for your own journey in the medical field.

My goal is to help you see that healthcare isn’t just a job, it’s a way to make a real difference in people’s lives. I can’t wait to help you discover your potential!
