Hello and WELCOME to year two at Memorial High School! This is my seventh year in Frenship ISD and second at MHS. The 2026-2027 SY will have me teaching sophomore Pre-AP English and also AP English Language and Composition for juniors. 
 
Please look over the information on this page. This website is meant to answer any questions you might have concerning Pre-AP English II and AP Lang and Comp. There are a list of needed supplies for each course listed below. Please look over those details.

Pre-AP English II List: 
Daily need -
1. a 5-subject Five Star spiral
2. Blue or black ink pens
3. College-ruled notebook paper
4. Pocket folder with brads (will be provided)
 
Need access to:
1. Lined note cards and/or sticky notes
2. Access to colored pencils and glue stick

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

AP Lang and Comp List: 
Daily need - 
1. a 1.5 inch binder
2. package of 8-10 dividers for binder sections
3. Blue or black ink pens
4. College-ruled notebook paper
5. Wired headphones for CB videos/notes
6. Planner for log-range assignments and important dates
 
Need access to:
1. Sticky notes for annotations
2. Spark Charts: English Composition and Rhetoric
                           English Grammar
3. Functioning College Board account and school issued laptop
4. Ideas in Argument textbook for AP Language and Composition (once we get the copies)

The Crucible by Arthur Miller (do not purchase - we have a set of these to use in class)
