Mr. Dominguez

Logan Dominguez is a conductor, educator, and trombonist originally from Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Lubbock High School where he received his first music education experience as a Visual Tech for LHS under the direction of Miss Leni Settle. Mr. Dominguez then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in music education with a minor in history from Boise State University in the Spring of 2023 in Boise, ID. During his time at BSU, Mr. Dominguez was a part of numerous ensembles such as Symphonic Winds, All-Campus Concert Band, Blue Thunder Marching and Pep Bands, and Trombone Choir. While student teaching in the Treasure Valley Area, he was also a part of the inaugural season for the Boise Gems Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Dominguez completed his master’s degree in music education from the University of Wyoming in the Spring of 2025. While in Wyoming, he has served as a McMurry graduate assistant for the Western Thunder Marching Band, UW Wind Symphony, and Symphonic Band.
 
Most recently, Mr. Dominguez assisted Dr. Joe Carver in directing WTMB in their first ever appearance at the Tournament of Rose’s Parade on January 1st, 2025. During his educational career, Mr. Dominguez studied conducting under Professor Marcellus Brown, Dr. Matthew Schlomer, Dr. Bob Belser, & Dr. Joe Tornello. Additionally, he studied with Professor Daniel Watt & Dr. Sarah Paradis on trombone. Mr. Dominguez would also like to thank Dr. Crystal Sieger, Dr. Lori Gray, Mrs. Anita Edwards, Mr. Joshua Barro, Miss Jennifer Myers, & Dr. Bill Waterman for their constant help during his educational journey. Mr. Dominguez is an active member of TMEA and a life member of Kappa Kappa Psi, a National Honorary Band Fraternity.

When he’s not conducting, performing, or teaching, Logan loves spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their 4-year-old pug, Brahms. They enjoy taking walks and exploring the open landscapes of Wyoming, Idaho, and Texas. Both are also huge Texas BBQ fanatics as well. Logan is ecstatic about returning to the Lubbock area and creating wonderful music with the Frenship Memorial High School Band program!
