Hello, my name is Billy Rushing and I am a Teacher Coach at Frenship Memorial High School.  I joined Frenship ISD on August 4, 2025.  I will be teaching World History, Coaching Football and Powerlifting.  

 

I graduated from Jacksboro High School class of 1999.  At Jacksboro I was a three-sport athlete in Football, Baseball and Powerlifting.  Also, a member of the National Honor Society.  After graduating high school, I continued my education at Howard Payne University.  While at Howard Payne I was able to compete for the Yellowjacket football team 1999-2003.  Was named a two time all conference offensive lineman and the Will J Cunningham (male athlete of the year) award winner my senior year. 

 

After graduating from Howard Payne in 2003, I was hired as a Teacher Coach at Canyon High School.  I was blessed to stay at Canyon High for 20 years serving in many different roles within the football staff finishing my time as the offensive coordinator 2021-2023.  I was hired as the Athletic Director Head Football Coach at Stanton ISD March 2023.  I again moved in 2024 accepting the Defensive coordinator role at Pampa High School.  I have found my place at Frenship Memorial coaching the Offensive Line.
