Hello! My name is Jonathan Gomez, and I’m going to be the Varsity Assistant for basketball, an Assistant Cross Country Coach, and a Math Teacher at Memorial. I am a graduate of Lubbock Christian University where I received my Bachelors in Math Education, and my Masters in Administration. This next year will be my 10th year in education. I have previously taught and coached at Ropes High School, Coronado High School, Decatur High School, and Smyer High School. My wife Kenzie and I are excited to be a part of the Memorial community. We love spending time with family and friends, as well as finding new adventures to go on. We have two daughters, Callie Joe, who is two, and Laynee who is one. You will more than likely see them all rocking the Panther Blue in the stands at games. 

My main focus as a coach and teacher is to turn young people into future leaders, good employees, good spouses, good parents, and in general, good people. I hope to teach the students at Memorial to be others focused in their actions, words, and thoughts. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Memorial community. I look forward to growing alongside you.
