Hello!
Welcome Frenship Memorial! This is my first year in Frenship ISD, however, it is not my first year in teaching. I am going into my 20th year in education and my 18th year in coaching wrestling! I began my teaching and coaching career in Azle, Texas and most recently moved to Lubbock from Amarillo.
In education, I am certified in 8-12 ELA, Special Education, ESL, Dyslexia, Health, and PE. I have spent most of my teaching career in my school's special education department and several years in ELA as a general education teacher and a co-teacher. I have enjoyed teaching 6th through 12th grade within several capacities.
In coaching, I have had the privilege of coaching boys and girls at all levels. I began my coaching career coaching 9th grade volleyball and basketball, after one year I finally transitioned to the sport that grew me, wrestling.
I look forward to this new season of life with my family here at Frenship. My husband and I will be leading the Memorial High School Panther Wrestling Team and look forward to the newness of it all! This new season brings me to a hard one too. Our oldest son will head to college this year at West Texas A&M after graduating from my Alma Mater, Caprock High School. Our middle son will be joining us at Memorial as a junior baseball player and wrestler. My youngest son will be a 7th grader at Heritage Middle School.
In class and on the mat, I will hold my students and athletes to high expectations to help prepare them for what is beyond their high school experience. I hope that my students embrace their time in high school and find their vibe, their people, and their passions.
