I am originally from Amarillo, Texas, where I completed my K–12 education before attending Texas Tech University. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and have been fortunate to turn my passion for science into a rewarding career in education. Now in my fifth year of teaching, I am dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a greater understanding and appreciation for the world of science.
As one of six children, I grew up with a strong appreciation for family, community, and the importance of meaningful relationships. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working in my yard, and finding opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. I also believe that a little humor can make any day better—especially when there is an opportunity to share a good science “dad joke”!
